National Parks of the Midwest Region

Thirteen states make up the Midwest Region of the National Park Service.  This region is responsible for managing 57 park service sites and 14 associated sites ranging in size from less than an acre to over a hundred thousand acres.  This region was created in 1937 with several other states being added in 1955, 1962, 1971, 1974, and 1995.
