I have visited most National Parks multiple times in several different seasons and created custom itineraries for all 63 National Parks. I have a wealth of first-hand experience and mistakes to help create the most amazing trip for you. 

I know how complex visiting the National Park can be, and deciding what the best parts of each park to visit can be tough. I am here to help design a custom itinerary based on your skills and wants, all while minimizing your time stuck in traffic or dealing with huge crowds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you plan a trip to (Insert Park Name?

Yes, I’ve been to or planned trips to all the National Parks several times, including remote parks such as American Samoa and the Alaskan Parks.

What should by budget be?

It depends on where you are going when you are going if you are camping or staying in a hotel, and if you are planning on eating out. 

It’s hard to say without knowing the when and where, but here are some places to start

  • If you are renting a car, plan for $50-100 a day.
  • If you are planning to stay in budget hotels, plan on at least $100 a night.  
  • If you are eating all means out, start at $40 a day per person. 

Within reason, I can generally work an itinerary around any budget, but I’m not a miracle worker. 

My trip is next month, can you plan it?

Please email Jennifer@NationalParkObsessed.com and use the subject line “Last Min Custom Itinerary ” to see if I have availability. There is a $50 fee for itineraries with departure dates less than 30 days from the time of purchase. 

What if I have missed the camping and entry permit release dates?

That is an issue, but many of the parks have last-minute ticket releases for hiking and entry permits, so there is a chance you can pick these permits up then.  

As for camping, there is a service called Campnab which searches for campground cancellations and will alert you so you can book them. 

I'm not a big hiker. Do your itinerary require a lot of hiking?

No problem. These are designed to match your skill set, and if you don’t want to hike, I will not include any hiking. There will probably be a few short walks to scenic overlooks and maybe a suggest of a REALLY amazing short hike here and there but this is your custom itinerary. 

Can you create handicapped accessible itineraries?

It depends.  There is such a broad range of needs for individuals with disabilities that I am not sure I can adequately design an itinerary for you without speaking to you first.
