Amenities: Mosquito Screens, Porta-Potty, Shared outdoor shower, Hammock, Fire Pit with a grill grate, Queen Bed, Twin Bed, no wifi, limited cell service
Distance from Grand Canyon South Rim Entrance: 30 minutes
Promising Review: A retreat located in the middle of the Arizona desert where you can truly be one with nature, but at the same time have a touch of modern convenience. I camped here in the dead of winter, at -5C and still felt comfortable in the tent. There is propane heater provided and lots of blankets, sleeping bags, and cooking utensils. Outside, you’ll find a nice fire pit (firewood not included) to keep yourself warm. The place is located off the beaten path, and you will have to drive through some fairly easy dirt roads to reach it. But once you get there, you’re greeted by silence and at night, the stars shine bright.

Grand Nomad Tent
Accommodates: 3 People, 2 Beds
Amenities: Mosquito Screens, Porta-Potty, Shared outdoor shower, Hammock, Fire Pit with a grill grate, Queen Bed, Twin Bed, no wifi, limited cell service
Distance from Grand Canyon South Rim Entrance: 30 minutes
Promising Review: We had such an amazing experience with my boyfriend! I had never done anything like this and everything turned out great! We wanted to visit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and felt like this was the closest besides actually being at the South Rim where there was a lot of people and we didn’t want to stay at a hotel. We wanted to experience some type of camping. The drive to the Grand Canyon is about 40 minutes and it’s a very easy and straight drive (once you get to the highway) but to get to the Airbnb you definitely need a bigger car like a mini SUV or truck to get through the rocky, bumpy road which is about 10 min starting from the highway. There were many amenities in the room but we felt like we also came very prepared too. The host was quick to respond and very nice! The only bummer for me was not being able to experience the hammock at my tent which was broken before we even got there but thankfully our money was returned for not having that amenity. The shower was great! Clean and it had hot water. The bathroom was a porta-potty which had not been cleaned, and since it was hot, it was extra smelly. I just would have liked it cleaned out before we had gotten there or provided two of them for more options. But I understand that this is part of the glamping experience. Besides those things, the place is surreal and magical and I totally recommend staying here if you’re looking for an isolated experience and like me not very experienced in camping but curious to try somnothing close to it! Thanks Grand Nomad! We hope to come back!

Promising Review: Exactly as advertised. A Yurt with some character. The sunrises and sunsets here can only be beaten at the Canyon. Dishes, cooking stove, port-o-potty, surprisingly awesome working shower (warm water), and a hammock here and there—all supplied. Minor wear and tear as to be expected (tent zippers, etc). Would come back.

The value is great (especially given how many people can sleep here AND it’s pet friendly), close to the Grand Canyon and other area locations, and super clean/comfortable. I highly recommend staying here, and it was especially great to be able to bring our dogs with us when it’s generally pretty hard to find pet-friendly AirBnBs.

Promising Review: Altitude Adjustment is such a dream! The absolute best Airbnb to date & I have stayed at dozens all over the world. The views are stunning both sunrise, sunset & all day long. The cabin is extremely private, but Meredith was so lovely when we chose to have contact. The cabin feels perfectly balanced with a rustic cabin feel with ALL of the modern amenities & details. We can’t wait to return!
